Generation S for Sick

 Image

Dr. FuhrmanAccording to the news on the 700 Club; people between the ages of 30 and 45 fall into category generation S for Sick.  This generation of people are dying younger, developing Rheumatoid Arthritis and auto immune disease.  These people spend too much time on the computer and they eat out more and exercise less.  Their bodies are aging at a rapid rate.

From a physicians, (Dr. Arthur Agatston cardiologist)- point of view on the 700 club; he stated that if he sees a person walk in to his office with a belly, he knows that they are either diabetic or pre-diabetics.  He also indicated that a round belly is part of  a natural mechanism that was intended for people in the times of winter to survive.  Their bodies would  burn the fat during the winter months and they would survive.  This is called Anabolic Syndrome.  Due to the fact that we don't exercise as much.  The belly  is turning into one big toxic chemical; which in turn cause us to die younger and age faster.
Today we are becoming a nation of people with less and less social skills and more about sitting in front of a television, computer or video game,or online chatting.  We need to become more active with our families.  Have vollyball games at a park.  Maybe a family reunion with baseball.  Perhaps take the family swimming at a pool or beach.

Drinking Water Filter AQ-4600We eat fast food more often; when we should eat healthy meals at home.  Some of the healthier food choices are things like:  Nuts, walnuts, avocados, sweet potatoes vs white, whole grain oats is ok for gluten free diet.  You can have oats no cream of wheat.

The breads that are processed today have a protein called gluten.  It makes the grain stronger, but it has an adverse effect on your belly.  The protein sticks to the belly and does not get digested.  Physicians are seeing more and more patients with this ailment called Celiac Disease.  The disease causes bloating, belching, diarrhea and all kinds of intestinal problems.  Most physicians suggest going without oats and whole grains for about one month.   You can choose gluten free items such as:  Chex cereal, Rice bread which is in the freezer isle and waffles in the freezer isle.  You can have corn tortilla instead of white.   Eat Rice bread instead of wheat bread.
Best to stock up on carrots cheekapeas, lental, sweet potatoes, blue berries, raspberries, beans, oats and lastly white rice or brown rice.Choose Olive oil instead of saturated fats or transfats.  If the Olive oil is to bitter for you, try the lighter olive oil.  It's not as strong or bitter.
You can make peanut butter cookies out of :  (1) cup of peanut butter, (1/2) cup of sugar, (1) egg.  Mold together.  Make small balls about the size of a large gum ball.  Use non stick spray.  Flatten with a fork in a criss cross pattern.   Then bake for 8 to 10 minutes.  Just until light brown.  Let them stand on a cool surface for about 10 minutes.  If you try to eat one to quickly, it will come apart.
